Jim Bognet Keeps Showing Us Who He is on Choice

Scranton, Pa. — Jim Bognet just keeps showing us who he is when it comes to abortion access. He recently took $2,000 in campaign contributions from the National Pro-life Alliance PAC. An organization that believes the overturning of Roe v. Wade does not go far enough and calls for a federal ban on abortion through the Life at Conception Act.

Bognet was also endorsed by the National Right to Life Victory Fund, the same organization whose general counsel advocated for forced birth by a 10-year-old Ohio girl who was the victim of rape. This is a fitting endorsement for a candidate who supports a national abortion ban with no exceptions whatsoever and called the overturning of Roe v. Wade an “amazing day.”

Campaign press secretary David Early issued the following statement:

“Time and time again Jim Bognet has demonstrated that his stance on choice is too extreme for the people of northeastern Pennsylvania. Now his campaign is being funded by the same extremist groups who want the federal government to ban abortion access nationwide. Jim Bognet is simply out of step with our community.”
