Scranton, Pa. — In Washington, Senate Republicans have introduced legislation proposing a national ban on abortions. The bill would ban the procedure nationwide after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
But that abortion ban is too tame for Jim Bognet. He supports a ban on abortions with no exceptions whatsoever.
Bognet checked “yes” on every question to the Pro-Life Alliance’s 2022 survey, which includes:
- Committing to vote against any bill that would codify Roe v. Wade or expand it
- Committing to supporting and cosponsoring the Life at Conception Act
Congressman Matt Cartwright, on the other hand, voted to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. Matt Cartwright knows these decisions are to be made between patients and doctors — not politicians.
Campaign press secretary David Early issued the following statement:
“While extremists in Congress propose national abortion bans, Jim Bognet’s radical stance on this issue becomes increasingly dangerous. Jim Bognet signed his name to supporting a nationwide ban on abortion with no exceptions for rape, incest, or even when the life of the mother is at stake. Bognet is completely out of step with the values of our community.”
