An article in the Times Tribune highlighted federal funding Congressman Cartwright secured for the Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center that supports their efforts in protecting and creating jobs, and bolstering the #NEPA economy.
“Two area economic development organizations will receive $215,000 from the Appalachian Regional Commission to support local businesses and jobs.“
“The Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center Inc. will use $140,234 in ARC funding to help mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on 50 area businesses and 14 communities while creating 80 jobs, retaining 400 others and leveraging $1 million in private investment.“
“Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance will receive $75,000 for a project serving 25 businesses and 40 communities. The funding will help to create 25 new jobs, retain 100 existing jobs and leverage private investment of about $900,000.“
